Exiles from Elsewhere
Boakin is a blanket term applied to a large group of ancient peoples, all over the world, who all seem to share a curious number of traits. Despite the distances that separate them, they all have incredibly similar gods, use similar languages, and have similar rituals.
They are dispersed in a very odd way which does not seem to follow any logical migration. There have even been groups found in areas where there is no way they could have imported their culture.
One of the important factors that unites the Boakin is their strange, overly complex alphabet. This alphabet can vary from group to group, but the differences are always incredibly small, especially considering how complex the symbols are. It is also interesting that they used an alphabet similar to our modern alphabet, as most groups of the time period used pictographs and other image based languages.
